Flickering corridors, period psychiatric instruments and staged case files, presented as the medical history they are. Immersive and unsettling, and deliberately quiet about the people who were treated with these tools. There is no graphic violence and no strobe.

How much is a ticket?
A ticket to the Museum of Illusions is 14,50 € online. The Big Fun Pass is 25,50 € online and 28,00 € at the door, and it opens all eight Big Fun museums. Duo Fun is 29,00 € online and 32,00 € at the door, and it covers all nine. A single Big Fun museum is sold at the door only, at 16,00 €. Children under 5 enter free. IVA of 10 % is included.
Can I visit both museums on one ticket?
Yes. The Big Fun Pass at 25,50 € covers both museums here and the other six Big Fun museums at La Rambla de Sant Josep 88-94, eight museums in total.
Can I add the Museum of Illusions?
Yes. Duo Fun costs 29,00 € instead of 40,00 € and covers nine museums: the eight Big Fun museums plus the Museum of Illusions at Carrer del Pintor Fortuny 17, five minutes away on foot. You save 11,00 €.
Is the Museum of Madness suitable for children?
We do not recommend it under 12. The corridors are dim, the sound is unsettling and some scenes are abrupt. The Guinness Records Museum next door suits every age, and children under 5 enter free.
What is actually inside the Museum of Madness?
Period psychiatric instruments, staged corridors and case files from the era when they were used. It is presented as medical history, not as a freak show. There is no graphic violence and no strobe lighting.

No. It is a museum of records and curiosities: a blue whale heart the size of a room, a life-size grizzly, the tallest man who ever lived. It is brightly lit and hands-on.
What are your opening hours?
Every day from 11:00 to 21:00, with last entry at 20:30. We are closed on 25 December and 1 January. There are no time slots, so your ticket is valid at any time during opening hours.

Can I take photos?
Yes. Both museums are built to be walked into and photographed, and there is no extra charge for cameras.
How do I get there from Plaça de Catalunya?
Walk down La Rambla for about five minutes. We are at La Rambla de Sant Josep 88-94. The nearest metro is Liceu on line L3, two minutes away.
Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Yes, and it costs more: 16,00 € for one museum, 28,00 € for the Big Fun Pass and 32,00 € for Duo Fun. Buying online is cheaper and saves you the queue.
